Challenge: It’s time for arts & crafts!

Remember when we were kids, and arts and crafts existed as a form of pure fun? We colored, cut, glued, built, and sometimes displayed our work just for the joy of it, and maybe a compliment from Mom or Dad. Drawings ended up in piles or occasionally on the fridge. There was no pressure to make a profit, to impress art bloggers or Etsy shoppers, to get a gallery show – or even to find a use or a place for our artwork.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I miss that stress-free creative world. And I say we try to reclaim it!
Here’s the challenge:
One day this week, come up with a crafty project and give it a whirl, just for fun. Maybe something from when you were a kid, or something you’ve seen online and wanted to try. Or you could just pull out some supplies at random, and see what you can make! There’s no need to limit yourself to a particular style or product because it “fits your brand.” You don’t have to sell or display your work. Just enjoy the act of creating -- use bright colors, get your fingers sticky with glue and paint!
I’ll also be finding some fun project ideas and inspiration, so stay tuned! And be sure to share your arts & crafts in the comments, or using one of the “contribute” links on the right side of the page. I can’t wait to see them!
